Charlie left England for Australia in 1886, where he met Forence Margaret Harris. They were married in 1892.

The oldest child of Norm and Mary Hudson, this photograph of Les was taken shortly after his return from a tour of duty in Vietman where he served with the 107th Field Battery of the Royal Australian Artillery.
The 107th Field Battery served in Malaysia from 1967 to 1969, followed by a twelve-month tour of Vietnam in 1970-71 as part of the 4th Field Regiment.
