PETTY SESSIONS, April 10. [Before J. RADFORD and R. S. SITWELL, Esqrs.]
Edward Knifton, collier, of Codnor, was brought up charged with stealing one hen fowl, value 2s., the property of Mr. William J. Clarke, of the New Inn, Codnor, at one o’clock in the morning of April 9th. He was apprehended by police-constable Job Rodgers, who found the fowl upon him. – He pleaded guilty, and was sent to Derby for one calendar month, hard labour. This was the only case which came before the Bench. |
