Jonathon "Jon" KNIFTON Obituary
KNIFTON, Jonathon 'Jon' James Of Sacramento passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2012. Jon was born Jan. 4, 1974 in Fort Ord, CA and attended schools in Redding, CA. He served his country for nine years in the U.S. Army and had most recently worked as a SMUD employee for the last five years. He is survived by his wife Katie, daughter Jenna and step-son Devin Vilhauer, along with his mother, Mary Wilson, step-father Ellsworth Wilson, father Steven Knifton, sister Ila (Larri) Wilkes, brother Matthew (Tegan) Knifton, mother-in-law Mary Lou Burke, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Jon had many interests such as outdoor activities and tinkering on cars, but his greatest love was being with his family. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 6 at 6:00 PM at East Lawn Mortuary, Sierra Hills Memorial Park, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento.
